Your Mba Application is going to put you together for the selection committee. Your GMAT, GPA, resume, transcripts, and essays provide a rounded explanation of the person you are. The application depicts who you want to become. There are frequently asked questions on the MBA Application Essays. To answer these questions successfully you need only rebut information within the application. Your application will show where you might have struggled in your education, employment, and outline your previous experiences. You do not have to draw attention to the problems, but demonstrate your abilities to overcome them.
Outline one accomplishment you revere and why? The essay question is asking you to look at your life's accomplishments and choose the one that best represents your success. You should focus on why you consider it an accomplishment. What made it hard? Why is this one experience the best over others? Leadership, team work, communication, social skills, persistence, etc. are just a few factors the answer to the question should reflect.
Examine a situation in which you feel you failed and what you gained from it? Honesty is extremely important in answering the MBA Application Essays question. Exposing a mistake or failure allows the reader to see you are human. It also gives you a chance to explain what you learned and how it made you better at that task or situation. The reader wants to see an engaging and informing experience that you grew from. They do not want to see a fake mistake.
Mba application questions want to know about your goals and how you will obtain them. Being honest in this section of the essay is imperative. You need to outline goals you know you can accomplish with the MBA program. Specifics should be generated for why the school should choose you. You are not telling the school why you have chosen them. The committee already knows they are a great school. One aspect of this part of the essay can delve into a specific reason for the school if you discuss a professor. For example if the school has a top professor in your area of study that is important to mention. Another aspect to discuss is the program you want to enter. Another school may not offer a similar program. It is not unreasonable to mention dreams, but you should always end with real goals.
Explain an Ethical issue- how you faced it and found a solution. An ethical problem will crop up from time to time. Unfortunately there is usually not a right answer to the issue, but how you act and what you learn from it will show your strengths. You must first determine what type of ethical dilemma you have faced. Was there a time you were asked to break the rules? Did you see misconduct from another employee? Outline the situation succinctly, and then move on to the pros and cons before revealing how you solved the problem.
