Recommendation Letter MBA are the most neglected part of most applicants' MBA application.

The Recommendation Letter MBA merits at least as much as the rest of your application package. Most business school applications have stated word boundaries on essays, and you have precious few words to form a comprehensive and forcing story to win over the admissions committee. The LORs are one aspect of the application without a word limit, so care must be given to ensure you make the most of this one-time chance.

Here are two thoughts to remember as you brainstorm your Recommendation Letter MBA:

I'm presuming you have an overall application strategy, right!?! Use this opportunity to incorporate some interesting stories that highlight specific traits to round out your applications. Stress to your recommender the need to provide detailed, explicit examples of both your work achievements and your character.

Use this opportunity to tell a tale about yourself that does not necessarily fit neatly into a five hundred word limit essay. I frequently receive feedback from clients a letter longer than a page is too much and that the admissions committee won't read it all, but this will not be further from the truth.
